A note from Coach Brandon~
Nearly four years ago Nicole, Pam and myself began a little experiment. It started with workouts in parks, schools and basically with anyone that would give us an audience. This quickly evolved into a business, one with daily classes held in the original CrossFit 626 – our garage. During this period members were sometimes treated to coaching from me fully decked out in my PJs.
Once we outgrew the garage (and our neighbors patience) we moved into our current location on Fair Oaks. From there, our little box developed into something that exceeded any of our expectations.
We began this experiment wanting to give. Give people knowledge, training and support so that they could succeed in improving their lives, get fitter, and look damn good naked.
In the end though, it was us that were the recipients. The community developed into something far beyond our wildest dreams. We learned from you. We grew as a result of you. 626 became what it is today because of you.
So today, it is with mixed emotions, that Nicole and I announce our departure from 626. Though we have been the recipients of so much from the 626 members and coaches, we have also struggled to maintain balanced, healthy lives while running the gym and handling our other obligations. On top of which, our passion within fitness has drifted to a more individualized approach to working with clients. A path that we will continue forging through one-on-one program design and nutrition work.
We are humbled by the time you elected to spend with us and the efforts you put in at the gym – we will forever cherish this experience. In a way, we feel like we’re letting you down, but know that under Pam’s leadership, you will receive the same great training experience you’ve grown to expect from 626.
We definitely won’t be strangers, and if you want to keep tabs, feel free to check in on me here.
Thanks again for all the memories. All the best to you in your future strength and health!
Brandon & Nicole
Oh yeah, one more thing (channeling Steve Jobs here). Now is the time to make the location announcement. Not for a lack of trying, but for the foreseeable future our current location on Fair Oaks will continue to be the home of CrossFit 626. Why put you through all the confusion about a move? Well, we legitimately tried to move. Three times actually. Unfortunately, the stars were not aligned for us.
