CrossFit for Hope
What’s CrossFit for Hope?
CrossFit is combating childhood cancer and other deadly diseases through its inaugural CrossFit for Hope fundraiser, benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Contributions can be performance-based pledges or donations for participants and affiliates. CrossFit for Hope will keep track of the athlete performances and donations for each individual and every participating Affiliate.
When is the “Hope” workout?
The Hope workout is on June 9, 2012 at 626.
CrossFit 626 has signed up as an official affiliate for the fundraiser…which means you can donate to the affiliate and/or sign up to join your fellow 626 peeps to raise funds and spend a fun Saturday morning completing the Hope WOD. Check out the official website www.hope.crossfit.com
What’s the workout?
“Hope”
Three rounds of:
- Burpees
- Power Snatch (75/55)
- Box jump, 24″/20″
- Thruster (75/55)
- Chest to bar Pull-ups
“Hope” has the same format as Fight Gone Bad. In this workout you move from each of five stations after a minute. This is a five-minute round from which a one-minute break is allowed before repeating. The clock does not reset or stop between exercises. On call of “rotate,” the athlete/s must move to next station immediately for good score. One point is given for each rep.
Brandon, Alice and I have already registered for the event- we hope you join us for this great cause and tough wod!
