My buddy …. A little head’s up for spring.
Everyone needs a buddy- and if you don’t have one, your goal for this spring is to find one. Or two. Pronto.
As you know, I love setting goals. It keeps me accountable, adds excitement to my life, and gives me to opportunity to do a little PR jig at least once a month. Last fall, I approached Brooke and Alice to join me in conquest of my back squat goal…I wanted 200# badly, and by mid March at the latest. Afterall, it was about damn TIME. My buddies and I fist bumped and accepted the challenge. No, we didn’t WOD together very often, and we rarely lifted together, but over the next 5 months, we continued checking in with each other on regular basis, and giving high fives for our dedication in the road to 200 club… and guess what just happened this month? Brooke snagged the 200- and it looked like butter. Then I snagged it a few days later. And then Alice demolished her 200# BS a few days after that. Coincidence? I think not.
Goals are powerful. So are buddies. Come up with a goal. Find a buddy. And rock that sh*t.
