Age- a totally a meaningless number. Take one look around the gym and you’ll see. We’ve got some serious beasts in the 40+ crowd that relish in giving a young whipper snapper a run for their money (and leave them in the dust).
Speaking of, most of you know that my mom officially started CrossFitting 8 months ago…and she completed her first CrossFit competition last weekend. She placed second in her age group at the young age of 59, and she’s ecstatic about turning 60 at the end of the year. Why? To enter the 60+ age group for competitions. How cool is that?
We are in control of our destiny. Our choices. Our food. Our activity. Our happiness. So, make sure you get your zzz’s, optimize nutrition, and wod on. As Coach Bethany says, may you be healthy, happy, and may you live with ease.
