REMINDER: BRING YOUR SOCK GAME ON THURSDAY FOR ROPE CLIMBS!!!
We are all individually unique in our goals. The road to our personal successes often come with very personal sacrifices. Usually, those sacrifices mean we have to give something up – sugary drinks/food, staying up late, alcohol, and sometimes even friendships.
But usually the story of the journey fades once that target weight has been met, lean body mass/fat delta percentage attained, and the visceral personal approval of the nod in the mirror, sans clothes.
Fitness shouldn’t have to be defined by just the sacrifices we made prior to achieving it. What about what we do with it afterwards? We all know that sleep/recovery, nutrition, and exercise positively changes our physical, physiological, mental, and emotional states. So instead of spreading the sacrifices of fitness, why not we flip it around and tell the story of what we do with it in our communities?
In the spirit of the Lenten Season (please, religion need not apply), instead of giving something up for 40 days, let’s take something on for 40 days.
