So, one of the cool aspects of CrossFit is the ability to throw down with your peeps on a daily basis- to compete in a game of who’s faster, who’s stronger, or just plain who can last the longest without setting down that frickin’ kettlebell. While fun, it’s often easy to get caught up in the “game” and begin to constantly compare yourself to others.
…Think about it, what have been your most rewarding moments CrossFitting? I know I can come off slightly competitive, but my favorite moments are not the few times I’ve smoked OGB or Erwin on a wod (…or the majority of the time when I beat Heavey. Love you sweetie-pie.)
My favorite and most proud moments are when I do something I never thought I could do. Something truly and completely for me and noone else- a lifting PR, my first unscaled barbell WOD (and I could care less that I finished dead last), or just completing a workout that I never could have done a year ago.
So think to yourself…what’s your proudest moment? While competing with others makes for fun times, remember those personal goals and accomplishments… now go get ‘em!
